Award winning J Box?
Does this win some award for most write-ups in a single box?
I included the clipped ground wires, just ran out of room..........
This picture is a perfect example of why listing agents don't like to see my truck pulling up. They never ask me if I want a coffee! Although I had a buyers agent tell me I was too thorough yesterday. WHAAAAAAT?
Anybody else seeing an uptick in business? I did 18 inspections over the last two weeks. Sats and Sundays included. I hope it continues but I doubt it.

Re: Award winning J Box?
Dave, I did cover that with "open J box"!
Did you see the clipped ground on the front left?

Re: Award winning J Box?
Hey Dave, this is just a "summary" picture. I don't have room to get wordy.
It is accompanied in the written report by a laundry list of accompanying write-ups, some not detailed in the picture.
I don't use contractions or initials in the written portion of the report, for the very reason you stated. I learned that over the years mainly by agents who wanted to split hairs over semantics.

Re: Award winning J Box?
I'm sure you also got the missing knock outs in the back (you marked the side ones).
And the NM cable with no clamp coming in where the cover should be.
And the other clipped grounds (looks like 3 more of them).

Re: Award winning J Box?
Jerry, you got it. I used the word "multiple" multiple times, as in multiple knockouts missing, multiple clipped grounds, multiple dumb-ass wiring practices, etc.
Here is the panel and bath GFCI from the same property!

Re: Award winning J Box?
"Major safety hazard at basement stairs. Exposed bus bar/interior panel."?
What about the poor electrician who has to STAND ON THE STAIRS to work on it? That's just plain *not allowed* either. But I'm sure you got that one too.
I really like the ...
DUCK!
Written on the head banger in your photo.
