difficult outlets
This is the second time in the last few months that I've encountered this condition. Many of the outlets are very difficult, or in some cases impossible, to insert a plug into. It's almost as if the holes in the plastic 'cover' don't line up with the metal part in the back.

I know for how much outlets cost these days they can't be very high quality but it would seem that the installers could at least check them when they wire the house. Have you guys encountered this before?

Here's a picture from today... You can see the metal parts blocking some of the openings.

I see it all the time on tract homes. Low bidder wins the job.
Low bid = low quality.
NO problem though, just FORCE the tester in and it works fine
A few years, months or days from now and who knows; but the builder will have moved on by then
Unfortunatly, we as Americans get what we are willing to pay for.
