Disposal outlet
Outlet under sink for disposal. Was a tad loose and didn't work right either.

It appears like this may have been the work of a DIY'er, or a hack. I would hate to think that a reputable EC would have done something like this.

But you overlooked the good points: Adjustable, accessible, mobile, easily inspectible. Geez, some inspectors are never satisfied

Also, looks like it might be 12 AWG into the backstabs...
... and whoever installed that fastener pushing through for the other side might have received a BIG surprise.
