Outside light post ?
I know that I am supposed to be smarter than a light post, but I have had some difficulty testing at least two outside light posts that are electrically lighted. I toggled switches inside the house and ran out to put my finger over the light sensor on the pole. This was a new post for a new home-- the filaments were intact on the three bulbs and moths built up in the casing indicating that it has worked. Any shortcuts or tips on testing-the casing would be a beast to take off!

Re: Outside light post ?
If you are looking to cover the photo cell and can reach it, aluminum duct tape - the sun don't shine through that stuff.

David,
Just don't get distracted and leave them taped.
