Here's where you plug in the sump pump
Inside the sump! This way when the water rises (pipes clog, motors fail) it enters the electrical receptacle and automatically shuts off the pump, right?

Ingenious. Maybe they should get a battery back-up system, and put the battery in the bottom of the sump!
