Best knob and tube trick yet
Metal coat hanger hanging from spliced section of K&T was energized by exposed wire at wire nut. Discovered when I backed into it and it brushed my plastic hard-hat... which I had almost left at the scuttle as it was HOT up there and I didn't see any projecting nails in the sheathing.

Every inch of K&T in this property was energized.

Re: Best knob and tube trick yet
Glad you caught that before it caught you. I would hate to see you on the evening news as a "former home inspector, Michael Thomas..."
