Re: Entry Door Inspection-Parkersburg, WV 26101
"Through the door"??? If it is a wood raised panel door and the panels have contracted due to low humidity, and the panels were not left to float in the stiles and rails, then, yeah, the panels WILL SPLIT and air will come through, as will daylight.
Or 'around the door' at the weather strip?
Or 'around the door' at the door frame (jambs/head/sill)?
The way I used to check that was to use blue painter's tape and plastic food wrap, taping the plastic wrap to the walls and the door/jamb/whatever. You can see that stuff "breathe" with the air movement and know exactly what is leaking where.
