You might try this site:Radon Testing

Outside of lung cancer I don't know of what medical problems this person might have that Radon would be a problem. Radon causes cancer and that is many many years after exposure.

You might want to get a home test at the local hardware or home depot store and save a few dollars from having a radon service provider do the testing. As Scott said cancer is the only possible health concern and that is long term. There is not a need to be in a hurry.
