Any ideas what these are for?

Rear of the house....several plastic pipes coming out of the ground along the foundation wall. They didnt appear to be perforated i wouldnt think they would be for drainage. At first I thought they were supporting the foundation in some way but they were plastic so that wouldnt make sense. Any ideas? thanks

Seen these installed with AHJ blessings, first for me

Yellow are points where wash-out/ water entry was occurring

That was my thought too, except that the foundation wall appears to be solid.

Looks like the photo is viewing under a deck or something, and a rather large one at that??

I think he was trying to vent soil gas or had an idea like RADON.

Its actually under a small overhang on the house.

I need to figure out what these pipes are for. I cant see how plastic pipe laid against the foundation would help with soil containment. The foundation wall was solid.

I must also add that this is actually a house that me and my family will be buying so I wanna make sure these arent detrimental to the home haha

How far down into the ground does that foundation wall go?

Unfortunately I dont know how far down they go. The foundation wall on that part of the house probably goes down about 4-5feet since its on the side where the walk out basement is

I will do that but unfortunately how many owners are honest about something that may negatively affect the sale of their home?

You mean you did not stick a tape measure down into a couple and see?

Or even tie a rock to a string and throw the rock down into one, pulling the string tight until it picks up the rock, mark the string and pull it out and measure from the rock to the mark?
