Front entry step
The sellers installed pavers up to the front door. Now the riser off the front landing is about 1 1/2 inches. Does the miminum riser requirement apply here?
I have noted / mentioned it as a trip hazard. Is there a code citatiion requirement for this? Thanks in advance.

Re: Front entry step
William,

The UBC (now the CBC in California) allows for a step up that does not exceed 8" at a doorway, provided the door does not open over the landing. I would assume that the IRC or Florida code has a similar provision. It looks like the door in your pic opens over the landing and, per code, the difference between the threshold and landing should not exceed 1". Screen and storm doors are excepted. Without measuring, the doorway in your pic does not look bad.
