That one is different than most I see ... it is separate from the house, with its own back (against the house) and not using the house as the other side.

With brick veneer, we already "know" water is going to go through the brick and mortar, and we already "know" that a proper means to drain that water out has been provided, thus, this particular planter should not cause and *additional* problems.

Yeah, right, we already "know" they provided drainage, a 1" air space, ...

My gut reaction is to recommend removal as would most of the termite guys, I would guess.

What's the difference between that planter and the brick veneer?

Do you recommend removing brick veneer when you see it?

From one "termite guy" (retired) to another "termite guy".
