    Default Short Chimney, Bad Application

What do you all think of these photos? These were also taken at the 30 million dollar home I spoke of on the combustion air vent thread. Please advise with your thoughts. This dwelling is now eight years old. It has burned for eight years without a fire, why can’t we continue use?

The wood framing for that chimney structure is way too close to that flue pipe (looks like it is touching). Also, the flue top is sunken within that enclosure and the shroud appears to be driving the combustuion product downward. Any evidence of pyrolisis Dale?
