stucco foam clearance at fireplace direct vent
Hey there, first time user.... curious to find out how much clearance should be maintained between fireplace direct vent and exterior stucco foam trim detail installed at the exterior of the home??

Stated clearances treat all combustibles the same whether wood, paper or foam so as Scott said, refer to the listed instructions or clearances marked on the venting. Note that many direct vent terminations are made in such a way that the unwary may not cut out enough combustibles allowing the pipe to get too close. Generally, there is an exterior firestop/ spacer installed first that ensures clearances then the termination mounts to this or is integral to it.
Keep the fire in the fireplace.

Item of note, many DV fireplaces set the vent clearance based on testing. So with many models, in the manual is the clearance for that fireplace and it's venting.
For example a 20k btu valor with duravent DV venting may be different than a 45k btu Mendota fireplace also vented with Duravent DV.
Just saying it's in the fireplace manual.
