boiler flue pipe
Boiler flue pipe has been added next to existing 3 flue chimney. All 3 flues being used for fireplaces.
Don't ask why, my head hurts already.
The bvent for the boiler vents directly next to the chimney and in my opinion could allow downdrafts to cause exhaust gases to enter the home.
What are your opinions on this
Thanks

Re: boiler flue pipe
I'd write it like any other vent Too Close to a wall ( 10 ft clearance )
Vent Piping Clearances follow the 10 ft. - 2 ft. rule

Re: boiler flue pipe
Thanks Billy, That's where I am on it too. The house is on a hill and I was smelling exhaust fumes on the ground at the rear of the home.
the fireplace in the second floor master bedroom has a flue liner no longer than 7 or 8 feet and the downdraft aspect is scary for me.
Thanks for the responce!
How's everything down there?
Almost back to normal up here.
My house flooded in Sandy
Just got back to a week of throwing my basement in a dumpster
Needed a good cleaning anyway
And got 2 nice new Buderus boilers to boot.
Thanks again,
Artie
