    If that is the fire-stop (not insulation shield) that is part of the manufacturer's listed components for that pipe, then all is well. If it is a different brand, then it is wrong, no matter what the fit is.

    However, I never get to see all the parts and installation instructions, but that looks similar to most I have seen.
