Gas Fireplace Inspection
I have never inspected a gas fireplace. Friday, I have a home which has 2 of them. I don't know if they are regular or ventless. What do you inspect other than the operation? Do gas fireplaces produce junk that clogs up the chimney? Do they have the same requirements as a wood burning fireplace?
I plan on taking the FIRE course in the very near future but that doesn't help me much for Friday. Thanks for any input.

I think if I were you I'd would just tell your client your not comfortable or have the experience to inspect the fireplace and recommend a fireplace contractor to inspect it for them.
