Another Day at Work
This clothes dryer duct couldn't be any more wrong if you tried. The order from bottom to top is clothes dryer exhaust duct, furnace flue pipe, water heater flue pipe.

Re: Another Day at Work
They are all wrong. I am not sure of even the type of pipe. The 2 flues even look level and the connection to the chimney (not that I can make it out well) looks wrong.

As far as the dryer goes...I am not sure what they were thinking at all (I am sure they were not thinking at all.)

Re: Another Day at Work
The flues did have uphill pitch Ted, it just doesn't show that well in the picture. The top one for the water heater was corroded at the entry point into the chimney too. As for the connections to the chimney, that configuration is very common around here. The furnace and water heater were about 10 feet away from the chimney. Sometimes the way things are built in this area doesn't leave you with many options.
