Looks like the Tampa Bay Rays (Devil Rays, what a name

) will be joining them there, should know this next game.

Not that I follow the Tampa Bay Rays, but, hey, they ARE a Florida team. I was in South Florida when the Marlins won both times (not at the games, just lived down there, not a big baseball fan, but, did go to a few of their games).

As one of the big sportscasters said 'Phillies versus Rays? Who is going to care about that ... other than those two cities. Would be better for baseball to be Red Sox versus Dodgers.'

Who cares what he said if you are a Phillies fan or a Rays fan, right?

You got that right Jerry. That announcer can take his comments about who he'd rather see playing and cram them. All they want to see is Manny Ramirez play against the Red Sox so they can hype it and create angles.

Whether the Phils get matched up with the Rays or Sox doesn't matter to me. They're in the World Series. I almost can't believe I get to say that again. It makes me giddy just thinking about it.

As long as the Yankees and Dodgers are not in the WS I really don't care.
However, I sorta like the Phillies.

Good stuff. I grew up in central PA watching Mike Schmidt, Bob Boone, Larry Bowa, Gary Maddox, The Bull and all those guys. I hope they win it all. So far it doesn't seem like their having much trouble.

It's been too long but the wait is over. I was 10 in 1980 and boy does this one feel great. After all the seasons I watched them flounder, stumble, and bumble, they put it all together this season. Congratulations Phils!!! Philadelphia has a champion once again.

Did anybody notice the lusty booing the Philly fans served up for Bud Selig as he was congratulating the Phillies? Priceless.
