Seeing as I've got time on my hands, I've got various projects going. At the moment....

I saw some pop-out hinges one time. long time ago.

the back side pops out and the hinge can then open the door to swing out

We have corner base cabinets with easy reach Lazy Susans in them, the two doors close to make an interior corner (like the one shown here Discount Building Supplies except that the hinges are hidden hinges inside the cabinet, not as shown in the photo, the doors opens like this one 36 Inch Wide Lazy Susan Corner Base Cabinet [LS3612] - $1,174.00 :: Jamestown Kitchens - Beautiful solid wood cabinets in-stock at unbelievable prices. ), one door hinges open on the other door which hinges on the cabinet wall, that hinge allows the door to clear the thickness of the adjacent door. That type of hinge would allow your flush mount door to clear the trim installed around the outside of it.

There are many hinges that will work under cup hinges, any of the 179 or 180 should work if you have the drill bit for the hole.

With the exception of the "invisible" hinge (which does not provide enough offset) as best as I can tell all those hinges are intended for full or partial-overlay installations.

The ones in our base cabinets, the doors are full overlay, BUT ... if that hinge were installed on a flush door, it would still have the same extension as it does now to clear the 3/4" thick door adjacent to it.

The two doors, when closed, are about 1/8" apart and flush with each other. When opened, the open door is 'pushed outward' far enough to clear the other door and opens hinged open out beyond the adjacent door.

In your case, the flush door would be pushed out and beyond the trim (equivalent to our 'adjacent door').

Take a trip to your big box stores or any kitchen design store and check out those doors on those cabinets, I believe you will find that those hinges will do what you need.

Another thing to consider if you find the extended leaf hinges you are looking for (I've found some, but only one leaf was extended, not both as you would need) is that extended leaf hinges have a longer radius when opening and closing, meaning the door will not pivot at the same point and open at the same radius, it will take a longer radius upon opening and closing, and may well hit the 'latch side' wall during opening or closing.

Those compound hinges solve that problem.

Did consider that - it's a pair of 18" doors, meeting at the center, in a very old hand-made wardrobe with about 3/16" separation between the doors, so I don't expect the increased radius will be a problem.

Let the drooling begin.

I ended up hinging the monitor, not the doors... bonus is a wider screen as it garages diagonally in the cabinet.

Plus, I discovered that someone has already installed a really cool antenna in the attic!

Does the whole project hinge on finding these?
