This snake scared the crap out of the agent
The agent was a women. (not a sexist comment, just a stating a fact) Sooo entertaining...

My client went to sit in the car once she saw these guys. I placed them in a trash can, and she came back into the house.

The client lifted a raised cover built into a ground level deck yesterday. The cover and compartment housed the casing for a ejector pump. Surprise! Note the excellent camouflage.

One snake, different views, a Copperhead. Venomous but not usually deadly. Can put you in the hospital for a few days though.

oooh a copperhead. I didn't know you had them in VA. We sure do have a lot of them here in Texas.
I broke open my compost pile once and was admiring the steam coming out of the middle of it, when I realized there was a copperhead soaking up all of that heat. He got away before I could get the hoe.
