Out of the Frying Pan
About this time of year I simply must escape this sizzling Texas heat. Forget the Bible or Dante, this is the real thing. Hot-ass, stifling humid air filled with evangelical Republicans. I must go north!
So then, I will drive 17 hours to Kenosha, WI, and cool my heels on the shore of Lake Michigan, where the daytime high temperature is 4 or 5 degrees lower than the nighttime low here in Dallas.
Anyone in the area have any suggestions for good restaurants, etc.? German food is my favorite, but I will settle for anything un-American.
And, to all of my admirers up North, this will be a great time to attempt an assassination. The emphasis there is on "attempt".

IMO, the EAA museum AirVenture Museum Visitor Information is worth the (short) drive.
