ProFlowers What a RIP OFF
FYI... Man what a rip off pro flowers is. Check this out... The Radio program stated all this for $ 39.00 Plus shipping and handling. the flowers were to be at my home today...... Look at the shipping date on my biliing statement :2/17/2011 and the bill i got on my card. $ 80.62 What the?
So i sent 2 emails to pro flowers Customer Service. No response back.
So i call these wack jobs up today... They will not correct the $ 80.62 they did offer a 20% discount and another 20% for the order screw up. but not from the $ 39.00 but from the $ 80.62... So i told the lady on the phone to cancel the order. No we will not cancel your order its to late... its to late 2/17/2011 from this date?
Then she says that they will not provide me a corrected billing statement but that some would call me in a few days from Customer Service ...Dang...
The flowers are now to be at my house on Monday 14. I hope.
I have been saying to my wife that she would be getting something today...Now i need to fix that before the end of the day. Thanks Pro Flowers...

Re: ProFlowers What a RIP OFF
Call you card bank customer service number and dispute the charges.
Those people will not get their money until the dispute is settled.
I've had a few disputed charges over the years and I have always prevailed so far. I have always gotten the charges removed from the card account and the charges were charged back to the company which created the mess.

Re: ProFlowers What a RIP OFF
I got hosed too Ron. Just this afternoon. I kept hearing the radio spots for 2 dozen roses for $29.99, just enter such-and-such promo code on the website when you order. GREAT!!!! I do as they say and the 2 dozen are indeed $29.99.......before all the other hidden charges kick in.........$9.99 for delivery, $4.99 for guaranteed delivery on Valentine's Day, $2.99 for handling and care (WTF?????), and $2+ in taxes. That all brought my $29.99 order up to $51.00. I opted for the free clear vase (probably plastic) because we have so many glass vases here from all the previous flowers I've sent to my wife for b-days, V day, etc.
I went through with the order because I know that all-in-all, $50 is cheap for 2 dozen roses. But it is not what they advertised.

Re: ProFlowers What a RIP OFF
Valentine's Day was invented by florists as a way to bridge the gap between Christmas and Mother's Day. All the suppliers put their prices up, so don't expect to find a cheap deal. My wife is a retired florist.
Face it. Spend the money to keep them happy. Next year, go to a local shop where they could have given you personal service for a good price.

Re: ProFlowers What a RIP OFF
They are a bit spendy but I've not had a problem with them. I ordered flowers for my wife and accidentally gave them the wrong address. I called and told them the correct address and they re-sent the order. she ended up getting two deliveries. The local guy took it upon himself to find the right address(the business name was on the order) and got them there late in the day after the second delivery had already arrived. Oh Well, I tried.
