    Glad to say I wasn't around for the fire.
    However, back in high school a buddy and I painted his Opel. We did the red racing stripes first. Then the silver paint job. Since it was the first car either of use were painting we didn't know enough to properly flush out the gun and hose so all the red was gone. The finished silver paint job had a slight pink tinge to it.
    Slightly weird but worked out well enough.
