Inspection Report Illustrations
I was curious what feedback folks had on the various illustration CDs available. Can you post which one's you've used and like the best or post why you don't like to use them?
I'm not familiar with very many of them, but here are a few that I was seeing and interested me a little.
The Illustrated Home Series by Carson Dunlop - $275
Home Systems Illustrated Second Edition by Mr. Fix-It - $237

Re: Inspection Report Illustrations
Hi Kris.
If you intend to place them in reports bear in mind the size and appearance.
Text may be hard to read.
Go with basic large and easy (simple)

Re: Inspection Report Illustrations
InterNACHI also has a CD of illustrations. Not as complete as Carson Dunlop but it does have a number of useful illustrations and it's about $30.

Re: Inspection Report Illustrations
I USED THE CARSON DUNLOP HOME ILLUSTRATED FOR MANY YEARS, I CONSIDER IT TO BE AN EXCELLENT BOOK/CD, AS WELL AS THE CODE CHECK BOOKS!!
I THINK EVERY HOME INSPECTOR SHOULD HAVE BOTH OF THEM AND STUDY THEM SO THEY KNOW WHAT IS IN THEM. EXCELLENT TRAINING MATERIAL!
THEY HAVE ALMOST ANY ANSWER TO ALMOST ANY QUESTION YOU MIGHT FIND ON AN INSPECTION.

Re: Inspection Report Illustrations
Carson Dunlop Illustrated Guide/CD since it first was introduced.
Also if you use the Horizon Report system some illustrations can be automatically added or deleted if you wish when the completed report is uploaded to the server.
Generally I don't include the option to automatically add the illustrations, I mostly stick to the photos I take.
