I was surfing the dial the other night and ran across a school bus race on the Speed channel (or something similar). In that race the busses were racing in a figure 8. I didn't understand why they were doing that unless it was to start a demolition derby. It made no sense to me.

The county Sheriff here in Volusia County used to sponsor an annual charity old school bus race to raise funds for the Sheriffs Boys and Girls homes, but that ended last year (one year ago last week) when one of the deputies died in a crash just like that shown on that clip - he got sideways and was T-boned by another bus, which threw him out of the bus ...

Jerry, that was Lake County Sheriff Chris Daniels driving a clunker bus for a charity race.
