Marty Hurst & his Family Need Help
Marty Hurst who is 47, married and has (2) teenage girls, and has been a Texas Home Inspector for approximate 20 years is severly ill in a Dallas Hospital.
He has been in the hospital for a month now.
He has what is known as MRSA and is not responding well to treatments.
Due to having poor health for a few years now and with the medical costs his family is in need of financial help. Any amount of a donation would be appreciated.
His wife asked that all prayers be continued for them.
At the suggestion of Barry Adair (TX. Home Inspector) who has came forth and asked of what can be done to help out, the idea of a PAYPAL account has been set up. (Thanks Barry for all your help in this) Barry is spreading the word and trying to help out this family.
If you care to help out, you can go to PAYPAL.com
The donation account to enter is: Mhurstdonate@gmail.com
All donations by mail should be sent to:
Hurst family
1700 Lake Forest
Rockwall Texas 75087
which will be forwarded to his wife and family.
Thank you in advance from his family.

Re: Marty Hurst & his Family Need Help
Rick, I tried making a donation via Paypal but I am apparently Paypal inept and already have an account set up which I cannot recall and therefore cannot make a donation using the site.
Is there a mailing address where a check can be sent? Who should the check be made payable to?

Rick,
I've only been following the forum for a little while, but feel like I've gotten to know you guys just a bit, and have anxiously waited for better news about Marty. It is heartwrenching and baffling when something like this happens to a man in his prime. I'm so sorry for you and his family.

Re: Marty Hurst & his Family Need Help
To Rick and Marty's family,
My condolences on your loss and I'm sorry for the sadness you must feel. However, take solace in the fact that our lives in human form are only the beginning. When we die, the essence of what we are is freed from its prison and we carry on in another form.
You and other blood family members will discover that you are connected to that essence; when you suddenly find yourselves laughing or crying over things that you know would have affected Marty, but prior to Marty's death never affected you. When that happens - and you'll discover that it will happen to you a lot as the years go by - you'll know that he's there with you every moment of every day, and, one day, when you pass, you'll be together again.
Mike

Rick, there just are no words that can help with the pain. Just the thoughts of your family in our prayers.

Re: Marty Hurst & his Family Need Help
Everyone I would like to thank you all for all the emails and the donations that have been sent.
It is amazing to have people give of themselves to persons that they don't know. We are truly in a great country.
We have had donations come in from HI's that I've never ever seen their name on this board. To all that is spreading the word, our family appreciates it very much.
My sister in law called me last night at 11:00 to tell me she'd had went out to the mailbox and found (2) cards. Just in those 2 cards alone, she'd had been given 500. dollars. She was in tears.
With all the other donations, it has helped her with funeral arrangements which she truly needed.
The funeral for Marty is going to be Monday morning at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Mesquite TX. at 10am.
Again, I consider each and everyone of you true friends and thank you for all you've done.

Re: Marty Hurst & his Family Need Help
Wow, what a tough weekend.
I thought I would post this link to add a face for the name. Many have emailed me, so I thought I would do so.
Welcome to New Hope Funeral Home
It has a signature book if you wish to sign in. If you do please note that your a HI so she will know who you are. There are some photos of his family and me and my brothers as kids. My parents wanted to us to be cowboys I think. Both of my brothers are now gone. Its hard being the oldest of us 3 brothers and wonder why I'm still here and they are not.
Again, thanks everyone for all your emails, contributions and cards.
Rick Hurst
