Help me with my garage foundation cost est??
Hello All,

Does anyone have any clue what the going rate is for block work? I am building a small garage 30 x40 and estimating. Considered ICFs but may be too expensive. I need to go 2' below grade to top of footing. Then 1' above grade. Frame up from there. Pad is poured concrete. Ideas?
Many thanks,
Jake

John I would just build a post frame building (pole building). This is about the lowest cost durable building you can build and it won't need a foundation. Just footings at each post. You can even build them now without sinking the posts into the ground. They can attach the posts to the slab.

What does concrete cost per yard in your area?
Do you want electrical service in it?
What type of siding?
What type of doors, windows?
What type of roof?

John your question is open ended as there are way to may options avaliable. I was once asked what is a ball park price? I thought about it and answered, about 10-70 million depending what team you are buying.
