Better to be lucky than good....
At least the deck ledger was lag screwed..... luckily, not through the romex

To me luck is being able to crawl back down an attic stairway ladder after observing (1) drywall screw attempting to secure it.

One drywall screw? What was holding up the other end.

I try to check that issue as I'm going up (instead of after I'm up) so I can drop drown and use my ladder if I don't like the way the drop down ladder is secured in place.

Don't like to get caught up there like you apparently did wondering if it'll hold me as I go back down.

Yep, looks almost as sturdy as my afternoon job on Wed. The buyer just couldn't understand why I wanted to put my ladder over the pull down.
