Re: 52 Years Young Today
Happy Birthday, Rick, from your fellow Texas inspector in the Hill Country. Was wondering if you are doing anything as far as marketing in relation to the new law passed requiring phase inspections for buildings in unincorporated areas? We live in Canyon Lake and are surrounded by unincorporated areas. This is Dee Smalley's wife, Kay, and I am trying hard to market our new business. We have gotten a couple of inspections from our website and are trying to get the word out that we are here. Thanks for any advice you or anyone can give us.

Happy birthday Rick. Sorry to hear about, well, never mind

Kay Smalley

The only marketing you can do for trcc inspections is marketing to the builders. All of them, the builders supers as well. This will be getting done by the builders unlike phase inspections for a client. The client won't be hiring you for the trcc inspections. The builders will. Now, you can obviously still do phase inspections for a client but I would certainly not do them for one you did a trcc inspection for the builder.

Thanks, Ted. I appreciate your advice and I certainly see your point about doing the inspection for both builder and client. SO MUCH TO LEARN!!!!

Hey I got that same cake when I turned 53 this year. When we turn 75, if we make it that far, it will say. "you are really old and have no penis at all"

Happy Birthday Rick.

I'm from the 'elder school' with EC Jerry and and echo his "young whipper-snapper" comment.

Re: 52 Years Young Today
Happy Birthday, Rick

Here's some advice that you can perhaps use in 20 years or so.

On her 70th birthday, an old spinnster decides it's time to finnaly get married. Since she has no hot prospects, she decides to run this ad in the local newspaper:

" Seventy-year young virgin seeks husband. Must be in same age group, must not beat me, must not run around on me, and MUST still be good in bed. Apply in person"

The next day, her doorbell rings, and when she opens the door, much to her dismay is a gray haired man in a wheelchair, and he has no arms or legs.

She asks the man, "Do you really expect me to choose you? You don't even have any arms or legs!" The old man replies, "Well, I don't have arms, so how could I beat you?" The woman agrees, and asks him to proceed. "I don't have any legs, so how could I run around on you? Again, she agrees, and replies, "But how could you, without any arms or legs, possibly be good in bed?"

The man smiles and says, "I rang the doorbell, didn't I!"

Happy B'day Rick.

Another 3 years or so and you can join the Crusty Old Fart Club. In fact you immediately get to be president as no one wants the stupid job. Oh...and no meetings either, as we can't stand each other!
