Like button
While I' thinking about it:
Would anybody else prefer to change the "Like" button to "Agree", and add a "Disagree" button?
I suggest the "Disagree" button to be anonymous, only showing the count, not the names.

Re: Like button
I think the like button is good enough on its own. To like a comment is to basically agree with it in my opinion.
I'm not crazy about the idea of dislike or ignore buttons. It gives people an easy way to dis others. This is a social media atmosphere here. Encouraging disrespect is a bad thing in my opinion.
Don't get me wrong now. To disagree is completely acceptable. When you think you need to do that, put some words together and be respectful and direct.

Re: Like button
I like the single "Like" button we have now. If we add a bunch of buttons folks will stop commenting and we learn a bunch from some(not all) of the comments...

Re: Like button
Along with the "Like" you also have the option to "Rate"

And don't forget "Share" (right next to the Like). Any good information you see you should be Sharing on facebook. This is automatic content for your facebook page so you do not have to think of new things to post there. Make it a point to Share one post a day.

Re: Like button
Yes, it has always been there since this new board went live. It's just one of those little features you may not have noticed.
When you rate a thread the rating (stars) will show up in this view

Re: Like button
I will see if I can get the ratings to show up in the "New Post" section as well and at the top of the thread itself.

Re: Like button
Okay, see it. I was thinking of Rate this Post instead of Rate this thread as there are many posts in threads which could make the thread rate good, yet have a few posts which should be derated or rated as poor.
Is there a "Rate this Post"? I think that is what I think was being proposed.

Re: Like button
I frequent many forums.
"Like" is common for all things good.
"Rate" is also found on many forums.
"Dislike" or any negative indicator should have NOT BE ANONYMOUS.
One can always view the number of posts, and the number of likes for a poster and make their own judgements.
