I need help to determine if a gas forced heating unit is installed correctly. Its a Comfortmaker model# GNI60A012AIN, serial#R920401796. Can this unit be installed horizontally?

Looking at the bottom of the data plate it says that it is approved for a horizontal flue pipe.

Was it installed that way or was it coming out the top?

Outside of that I would contact the manufacturer, they will know for sure.

It also says "(Forc)...ed Air Furnace For Indoor Installation Building"

Higher up it states this again "For Indoor Installation At Minimum Clearance"

Now, is an "attic" "indoor", or, by "indoor" do they mean 'in the thermal envelope"?

I suspect they mean 'not outdoors', which could be in an attic, but, the way it is worded ...

Does that bottom line mean for horizontal installation, or just for "(List)...ed For Single Pipe Horizontal Vent"?
