Utica Boiler
Good Morning,
We have a Utica Boiler 117,000 BTU's and we are trying to find out how old it is. I have a model number and a serial number, but dont know where to find out what the age is. We have converted our house from oil to propane and are looking to sell the boiler, but dont know what to sell it for because we dont know the age
Thank you
Melanie

Re: Utica Boiler
Can't tell you the age, besides old. You can call a local heating supply house and ask if they can help.
As far as selling it, almost worthless around here at least. Most HVAC guys will give a customer $100-300 for a decent boiler. They typically save it for their not so picky slumlord customers.
If it isn't electronic ignition or power vented, it's pretty much worth scrap.

Re: Utica Boiler
Hi Melanie, I think we can guess the age from the first two letters of serial no. :
The 1st letter "J' is for month = October ( A=Jan, B=Feb....., L=Dec.)
The 2nd letter "N" is for year = 1997 (A=1984, B=85.....)
