Age of unit
Could someone give me the age of this heat/air unit.

Does is look 25 years old?
If so, that "84" at the beginning may be the year.
Does it look about 10 years old?

Daniel,
That's where I got the 10 year old guess from, the second two digits.
Wasn't sure how they did their date codes, but if it was "pretty old" it may have been 1984, otherwise if "not real old" 2000.

If it was me, I would be sure to tell my client that the unit is older and has basically reached the end of it expected life. In our area, units of this age should not be expected to last much longer. If this is a package unit, I give them about 8-10 years of life in our area.

I have found that by typing the model and/or serial numbers into google that all the info will come to you!!! Good luck And what type of unit is this? Forced hot air furnace?
