Thread: Condenser unit hold down

I was told by another inspector that it is required to have the a/c condensing unit secured to the base pad but I am unable to find that anywhere in my code check book. Is this a manufacture requirement maybe?

It is in the code and the manufacturer's installation instructions.

The type, size, number, etc., of anchors would depend on the wind loads used in your area.
