Question Heat pump/gas furnace temperature splits

Do we use the same standards (difference between supply and return) when checking temp splits for A/C and heat pump appliances? What about the standard for checking when there is a gas furnace provided? Should the report contain SPECIFIC temps observed?

Default Re: Heat pump/gas furnace temperature splits

Regarding a gas furnace the required temp rise is listed on the data plate. Usually 40-70 degrees. When I was in Colorado in the mountains, due to the thin air, the temp rise was always just barely at the minimum.
