Humidification required in Chicago?
Over the years I've occasionally been told by (HVAC) contractors that mechanical humidification is required on forced air systems in Chicago.
Sometimes this has been represented as a Building Code requirement, sometimes as a requirement by the Health Department, but no one has ever been able to provide a cite.
Is this a actual requirement, or a Urban Construction Legend?
