Furnace venting, I'm on a roll
This vent is located 21 inches away from the window. This is a condo. Furnace is 100,00btu, high efficieny manufactured in 1992, although the vent was hot as he double LL. Called the county for distance requirements and they said ask manufacture. Any ideas

In reading some manf. specs you'll see distance requirements to windows as little as 12 inches. I don't get this and it's difficult to argue with such info - though I disagree with it.

Doesn't make any sense to me either, but every high efficiency manufacturer I've checked in the past is 12".

That is a unique configuration that is not likely clearly identified in a clearance spec.
Typical category iv clearance is 12 inches to the side and below however this installation terminates out in front of the window and discharges toward the window so the conditions are different than the typical clearance spec.
What was the manufacturer of the furnace?
Category iv?
What was the manufacturer of the vent?

Yikes. I don't care what code or manufacturer says, that is a disaster waiting to happen.
