Frequency of cleaning ducts
Hi all,
I just inspected an HVAC and when I inspected the filters, I could not completely open the door. Which tells me it is a pain in the *** to change the filter, which likely means that the filter has never been cleaned/changed.
This house is a 2002 construction. This lead me to think on the frequency of cleaning ducts in a forced air system.
1. At what frequency do you believe ducts should be cleaned?
2. In this particular situation, since it is obvious that the filter has never been cleaned, should the ducts be cleaned immediately?
Thanks

Re: Frequency of cleaning ducts
Here in the land of "Flexible Ducting", cleaning is not a viable option. If you have sheet metal ducting, maybe its different.
