Default Code for vent pipe slope

Believe it or not the seller says she will fix a negative sloping furnace vent pipe connector only if I can provide the code for it. I do not recite codes in my reports but use diagrams to illustrate the 1/4 inch per foot slope upward away from the furnace. I'm sure someone here knows it off the top of their head. Thanks for the help.
