Can this roof jack be used to serve dryer vent?

I don't see how it could. There has to be a backdraft damper.

I have one similar to that on my house, but then it is 25 years old.
IRC 2003 M1501.1 Dryer Exhaust systems... Exhaust ducts shall be equipped with a backdraft damper....

Ummm ... as far as the question goes "Can this roof jack be used to serve dryer vent?", the answer is 'Yes, it CAN be used for a dryer.'
BUT, it is *not supposed to be* used for a dryer.
