    First tell me what's in the box?

    In my home which is narrow and tall, In addition to ventialtion out from the top (for the summer), I installed a system frm the top to the bottom. The idea is to pull hot air that rises (in the winter) down to help equalize the house.

    It is a device with a blower fan and a duct attached to the side of a gas furnace?
    Can't tell if it blows or sucks.

    Is the vinyl hose part of it?

    The owner said it's a humidifier. You have to manually pour water into it and flip a blower switch.

    The house had a boiler.

    Yup, anything else would not have a water tank at the bottom
