Clothes Dryer Outlet/Sock
I haven't seen one of these in three years. I don't understand what makes people think this is acceptable.

Joe,
Did that room smell a bit like tuna when the dryer was running?
That lint can sure have a funny smell to it.

Re: Clothes Dryer Outlet/Sock
I saw one a little while ago that was at least 20ft long stright up and out the roof with no booster. My question is how long can a dryer vent be before it needs a booster? This one was perfectly vertical and as I said, at least 20ft long. A quick response would be nice as I am writing the report right now. It does not look right to me, but I do not know the specs.
If it weren't for lawyers, we would never need them.

Dryer exhaust
Max 25' - 5' for 90s, - 2.5 ft for 45s. Smooth metal pipe, no screws. Transition connector max 6'.
I don't think there is a maximum size for panty hose!!

Re: Clothes Dryer Outlet/Sock
That's everyone's first response, but it is not quite right.
The answer is what Richard stated with the following added 'or as along as the dryer manufacturer says it can be'. I've seen dryers rated to push 90 feet.
Just saying 25 feet minus blah-blah is just not correct, it is simply the shortest longest it can be, but it can be longer longest.
