Anybody know the age/code of a 'Cold Point' A/C unit?

Thanks for your reply Jerry. That was my guess also - or the other way around, but, the house was built in '03....so I could not pinpoint the date. It wont make any difference for my report, I just wont fill in the date.
Building intelligence center had no info on this 'Cold Point' or on an associated company 'Adirondack Air'. But this is the first time I have ever seen this brand

I'm guessing 4 ton mfg 2007. My Preston Guide only goes to 2000, and the m/n's are not even close.

Thanks for looking into it Jack. I appreciate your time. Because this will likely not be the last of this brand I see, I was hoping for a key to the numbers for the future. This particular type is tall and has bolt flanges for bolting to a foundation or pad. This wasn't bolted....pushing on it and starting it to tip was almost effortless. You can see two of the bolt flanges at the base of the unit.

Heres a link to a great site. Its list most all manufactures and helps with identification

Building Intelligence Center | Your #1 resource for determing the date of manufacture or age of HVAC & Water Heater equipment.

Hope you can use it in the future

It may list them all, but it sure doesn't have info on all it lists. Cold-Point to name one. Its still a link worth saving.

Ummm...Yeah thanks Michael. I have used that site before in the past and will continue to use it in the future (see post #3) ...and they generally are my first try at determining age info. My 2nd choice is InspectionNews.net....when the 1st fails to provide me with the info. But thanks again for helpful info...

I just checked my Preston Guide and it does not even show any Cold Points built after 1998 and mine is the 2005 guide... interesting.

Appears to be a Cold Point 48 MBTU CNC "high efficiency condensing unit." See: http://www.coldpointcorp.com/pdf/CNCSPECRev3-2013.pdf
Call to the manufacturer might provide more than speculation: 315-339-2331.

    Reply from Cold Point:

"That unit was produced in August of 2007.

    Sam"

Date code for 'Cold Point' then is: 1st two numbers represent Year, and 2nd two numbers Month ........according to 'Sam'
