    No actually.
I was looking for information inspectors may wish to share.

The home owner admitted it is a 1971 unit in the declaration.
    Is it?
    Not my declaration.

The purchaser worked for one of largest HVAC service company's in the province.
    Nice guy.
After chatting it turns out I know his best friend.
    Small world.

I asked him, can I reach out to you when I require some information, and he agreed.
The furnace is not a negotiating point and you can see why.
he knew very little other than its is going out and another unit is replacing it.

Good thing you are in La Belle Province ...

Any electric furnaces I get to inspect I suggest they change it out to a gas unit or oil or geothermal because the electricity rates in Ontario are very very expensive.. plus all the taxes they pile on end up costing more than the electricity used ... ca ching, ca ching $$$$

Thanks Kathleen you are the best! NOT!

Ray I find it funny when Quebec politicians brag about Green energy as they move on to say Quebec should be exempt from any proposed carbon tax measures seeing we use hydro power the renewable energy.
They forget to mention the carbon sinkhole they covered with water.

    As for your tax statement.
Please, Ray. We are and have been the highest taxed citizens in Canada and beyond for Millennia and Pauline left us 8 billion dollars in debt after only 18 months in office.

You know what they say don't you. The only sure thing in life are taxes and death.
    Too bad.
    So sad.
It did not take governments long to put those to things together.

That company built furnaces in your fair city from 1968 until at least 2006.
Electric furnace is nothing more than a big toaster oven with a fan. Usually the elements are replaceable. So while I agree with Raymond that they are not cheap to operate, there is the flip side, minimal maintenance for 40+ years of heat.
    I think 1971 is correct.

    You are the King mate.
You are correct, a 1971 vintage as expressed by the owner.

Boulevard Langelier where the manufacturing plant resided was well known as a manufacturing district at one time.
I knew they were built in Montreal, my fair city, which now has the dubious distinction of #1 city for pot holes in the world.
I knew we paid the most taxes in North America for a reason.
New shocks for my Ford FX4 will cost me $1,000.00 on Sunday and I can not hold the city responsable.
Too bad. So sad for the tax paying citizens. Something is broken besides the roads I feel.

John, in all honesty though, I did not put what I consider research time into the manufacture and for your efforts I proclamate you as "The King of info" under this thread thus far.

Looking forward to what ensues further along the thread.
I hope you do not lose your crown because to me, You're the King Mate!
