Yes I have a dog, what does that have to do with the air conditioner?
So many things wrong, seller thinks I am killing his deal...

Oh yeah, seen a bunch of those. Oldest actual unit I believe was only 5-6 years old and it looked like that. Owner had two big dogs, don't remember what kind.
You'd think an owner would see the activity and resulting damage at some point and stop to make the connection.

This one was 17 years old, and even the areas the dogs could not reach looked pretty banged up. Seller had it wrapped in garbage bags & duct tape when I arrived and seemed disturbed that I wanted to unwrap the equipment and take a peek. I made sure to rewrap the unit before I left, as per the sellers request...

You could have said, that is a perfectly craptastic partially operational heavily damaged old compressor nearing it's useful operations and serviceable.

I've seen that here also. Saw one with a tall dog and a short unit. Damage started at the top and went all the way down.
