Do you have photos of the rest of the label?

Frequently (usually) there is a standard shown to which the furnace is listed to, and that standard typically gives the standard organization name, the standard number, then a year designating which edition of the standard it was listed to. That year gives a ballpark in that it would have to have been manufactured after the date of that standard, then by looking up that standard and its history, you can usually find the next edition year of the standard, which would be an indication of a year of manufacturer between the year of the standard it is listed to and the year of the next edition of that standard.

Excuse the typo (Brokke) Speech recognition software app error.

A google search a PDF gave the year at 1997.
The serial number J89 leads on to believe December 89.

Data plates on the Brock oil burner and electronic switch was obscured and could not be read.
I am email Brock and will provide any information once received.

I wouldn't base the date on that G89 - unless you think they made just one unit per month - and just 12 units each year ...

    Robert,

Sometimes the manufacturing date is stamped on the blower housing.

I took images of the case tag, burner tag and relay.

Unfortunately I could not open the case, or find a filter slot to look in the plenum.
The case was slightly rusted at the bottom.
As well, there is an evaporator coil above the heat exchanger but I could not locate a condenser.

I discussed the finding with the buyer's agent.
Under the circumstances, I did the best I could do.

    Thanks Ray.
