Older In Floor Tubing ID
I have run into this stuff a few times, but am drawing a blank on internet searches. I think it is called Infloor brand, but I can't find anything about its properties.
Anyone know anything about it? Does it have an O2 barrier? Class action stuff, etc.? I called it as PB but in hindsight I think it may be something else. The darker plastic tubing is what I am asking about. I know the lighter one on the right is PB.

Re: Older In Floor Tubing ID
Hey Jim,
i'm pretty sure the lighter stuff is PB. I can't say for sure about the darker, I haven't seen that before. I have seen PB used for hot water heating systems around here. I have never seen failures in heating systems (plenty in domestic water supply). But, I still talk about potential problems with it because of the history.
We don't have that many hot water systems around here, so I am not overly familiar with them. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I know this isn't necessarily relevant, but I've seen black PB pipe in manufactured/mobile homes many times.
We don't have hydronic heat in this area, so I haven't seen that Infloor brand product.

Awesome. Using that date I can probably find my old report. I know I saw this brand at least twice before.

I can't tell you how many times that has happened to me. I see something on an inspection that generates a question, I do a search here and find that I asked that question 8 years ago.
