    Default Dayton furnace age?

    I am beginning to wonder why I bought the Carson-Dunlop guide. Anyway Dayton gas furnace...Serial # L883328697. Thanks...

    Paul...I can't find anything on Dayton furnaces as such, but a link to a Dayton ceiling heater recall would suggest that Dayton uses MYYxxxxxxx for serial numbers. That would make yours November, 1988. BUT, I can't say that's "gospel". Does it look about 20 years old?
