    Default Bryant furnace age

I have to determine the approx. age of a Bryant model 394DAC000100 with a serial # of 390 89384. I believe it to be a 1984 unit but not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need to send off the report in early am.
    Thanks

    Cool Re: Bryant furnace age

Sorry I cant help. There should be a law that they put down the date of the furnace on the sticker. How damn difficult would that be!

    Brian,
I believe this was manufactured January or March of 1990, based on the serial#. Carrier, Bryant, Payne all used the same system. The first four didgets were the week and year. Since you only have three didgets, I'm going with the third week of Jan, 1990.

But HVAC guys get up early. Call one of them in the morning to verify. And the parts houses are open even earlier.
