Help with age of units
Anyone know how I can get the age of these units?

1 Tempstar
Mod # nhp024 aka1 2 ton
sn L000884426 I'm assuming 2000 but....

2 Tempstar
Mod # nhp036aka1 3 ton
SN l001061564 I'm assuming 2001 but....

The house was built in 2000
which has me questioning the second units SN being 2001

Tempstar is manufactured by ICP international, but, their web site has zip on it except for the new SEER models.

Also... wonders never cease.... see pic.

Thanks guys.

Re: Help with age of units
It looks to me like the second serial no. probably starts with "L", not 1; that would make it manufactured the 10th week of 2000 compared to the 8th on the other unit.

Re: Help with age of units
I think Linda is right. If memory serves for Tempstar products in regard to dating , all letters of the alphabet at the front are ignored, the first two numerical digits are the year and the second two are the week of production.
